PLO Central Council meeting in February

The central council of the Palestinian liberation organization will meet in Gaza City on February 2. The council includes 120 members.
The new date of this council meeting comes after the meeting was twice delayed, the first time in May due to US and Israeli pressures so that it would not declare the Palestinian state to coincide with the general Israeli elections.
The second postponement came in December in Bethlehem for unannounced reasons in the shadow of the stumbling of Israeli - Palestinian negotiations due to Israel's settlement policy and a dispute over the Israeli military redeployment in the West Bank.
