Syria says it works sincerely to give success to peace talks with Israel
Syria-Israel, Politics, 1/26/2000
Syria blamed Israel for the consequences that might result from its obstructions of the peace negotiations and any negative end that might take place. Syrian Vice President Mohammed Zohair Mesharka asserted that Israel's attempts to evade alowing the peace rights topped by withdrawing to the June 4, 1967 borders stirs up doubts concerning its seriousness toward making a success of the Syrian - Israeli talks.
Mesharaka made the remarks while opening the symposium of religious fraternity held by the Syrian Ministry of Endowments on the occasion of the third millennium. He added that Israel's continuation of evading the peace rights lays the responsibility on it for stopping the third round in the peace talks on the Syrian - Israeli track.
