Morocco, Thailand sign trade convention

Morocco and Thailand signed on Tuesday a trade convention to consolidate bilateral relations and exchange economic expertise on international issues.
The agreement was initialed by visiting Thai Foreign Minister Surin Pitsuwan, who held a work session with Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi.
Talks covered Morocco's participation in the 10th conference of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, to be hosted by Thailand next Feb. 12-19. Morocco, which is chairing the 9th ministerial conference of the G-77, renewed its commitment to defending the interests of developing countries.
The Thai official visited Morocco this January 24-26 with a large business delegation.
