Italian foreign trade minister in Morocco next week

Italian Foreign Trade Minister Piero Fassino will pay an official visit to Morocco February 1-2.

The Italian official will confer with Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi and several Cabinet members, a statement by Italy's embassy in Rabat said.

He will also open a day on Moroccan-Italian economic partnership and will chair a ceremony during which the agenda of fairs and shows to be hosted by Italy in the course of the current year will be presented.

Fassino and a group of economic operators accompanying him will meet the Italian businessmen operating in Morocco and will visit a number of Italian enterprises.

Morocco is Italy's 4th trade partner. Moroccan exports to Italy are made up mainly of fertilizers, fresh fish and garments, while imports are made up mostly of cars, machinery and various industrial tools.
