Flights resumed between Tripoli and London
Libya-UK, Politics, 1/26/2000
The British Foreign Office said on Tuesday that a Libyan airlines plane made a flight between Tripoli and Heathrow airport and returned to Tripoli on Monday evening, a matter which signifies the resumption of air flights between the two countries on the grounds of "diplomatic normalization."
The spokesman for the Foreign Office said that on the board the plane was the British ambassador in Tripoli, Richard Dalton, who started his term of office in December, 1999 following 15 years of diplomatic boycott between London and Tripoli.
