Emir of Bahrain confers with Syrian minister of the interior

Bahraini Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa received Syrian Minister of the Interior Muhammad Harba on Tuesday in Manama.

The Gulf News Agency said Harba conveyed to Sheikh Hamad the greetings of his "brother President Hafez al-Assad, and his wishes of progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people.

Sheikh Hamad commended the deep and strong relations between the two states in all fields, stating that Bahrain is keen to boost bilateral cooperation.

The two sides reviewed the issues and developments in the Arab and international arenas, and Bahrain's emir confirmed his country's support for every effort that serves the Arab states.

Also reviewed were the developments of the Middle East peace process and issues of interest to the two states.
