One Israeli soldier killed, others wounded in south Lebanon

One Israeli soldier was killed and several others were wounded in an attack carried out by the Lebanese resistance against the Israeli al-Radar position in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese resistance sources said one of its groups approached the position's main fortifications, and attacked its occupants with machine guns and rockets.

The sources added the attack resulted in killing or wounding the soldiers. Israeli occupation sources reported the attack, the killing of the Israeli soldier and the wounding of others.

Meanwhile, Israeli Radio reported that three Israeli soldiers were wounded in the eastern sector of south Lebanon on Monday evening when a Lebanese resistance group attacked the area.

A statement released by the resistance said that one of its groups arrested two South Lebanon Army militiamen, Ali Ibrahim Munzir and Muhammad Ibrahim Munzir, in Markaba position, deep in the occupied part of the south.

In another developments, on Tuesday afternoon Israeli warplanes raided a three-story building in al-Tuffah district's hills between the towns of Jba and Ein Buswar and dropped several missiles. The building was completely destroyed while windows of neighboring buildings were smashed. Two Lebanese civilians were wounded, and Jba- Ein Buswar road was blocked, Lebanese security sources reported.

On Monday morning, the Israeli occupation forces renewed their bombardment of Lebanese towns adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli aggressions, which lasted from Monday evening until Tuesday morning, targeted the outskirts of the towns of Khurbet Soloum, Tulin, Qubreiha, Baraachit, Hadatha, Eita al-Jabal, al-Ghandoureyah, Farroun, al-Hajir valley, al-Qeseyah valley and the hills surrounding al-Qa'qaia bridge and Jabal al-Zaatar and the Litani river course.

The sources added that the Israeli warplanes flew in the region's airspace, carrying out mock and provocative raids. The Israeli mopping-up operation against south Lebanon carried out on Tuesday morning resulted in damaging several houses in Barachit town in south Lebanon.
