Indonesian president visits Saudi Arabia

Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid will next Friday pay a visit to Saudi Arabia which will last for several days, during which he will hold talks with King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz on means of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and review the latest developments in the Islamic and international arenas.
The Saudi ambassador to Indonesia, Abdullah Alem, and Indonesia's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ezz El-Din Louba, said in statements to the daily Okaz issued on Tuesday that the visit of President Wahid to Saudi Arabia is his first visit since his election as president of Indonesia.
The importance of this visit lies in the deep relations between the two countries and the importance of exchanging viewpoints on issues of mutual concern and backing bilateral cooperation relations.
