Egyptian peace movement delegation visits Tel Aviv
Regional-Egypt, Politics, 1/25/2000

A delegation from the Egyptian peace movement is heading to Tel Aviv to convene a series of meetings concerning organizing an international conference by the international alliance Copenhagen declarations.

Salah Basunin, chairman of the Egyptian group in the alliance, said the meeting will determine a date for the second peace conference scheduled in Tel Aviv in light of the Egyptian proposal to organize it in April.

Basuini also said the new conference will be held in light of the problems and obstacles confronting the peace process on all tracks, adding that the alliance's participants-- Palestine, Jordan, Egypt and Israel)--will participate in the Tel Aviv meeting in order to make increase public awareness to confront the current challenges in the peace process.
