Arafat visits Cairo today

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat arrived today in Cairo on a two-day visit, during which he will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to discuss the results of his latest discussions in Washington and Brussels.
Palestinian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nabil Shaath, a member of Arafat's escorting delegation, said today's meeting with President Mubarak was important and that during the meeting the situation was reviewed in its all dimensions, and the Palestinian moves, in which president Mubarak plays an important role, were discussed.
Shaath said President Mubarak informed the Palestinian president of Egypt's adherence to the importance of achieving progress in the peace process and not wasting Arab rights.
