Morocco-USA, Economics, 1/25/2000

US Assistant Secretary of Trade Robert L. Mallet is expected in Rabat on Wednesday on a three-day visit for talks on Moroccan-American cooperation in matters of trade and investments.

A press release by the US embassy in Rabat said Mallet will confer with Moroccan public and private economic operators on the promotion of trade, investments and economic relations between the two countries.

The US official will moderate a debate at the Moroccan-American chamber of commerce on trade and investment issues.

The assistant secretary at the US trade department plays a key role in promoting the free access of US companies to international market. The department is most particularly interested in small and medium-sized enterprises as well as in enterprises managed by women.
