Cairo hosts 'Education for all' conference

Under the patronage of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, deliberations of the regional Arab conference on "Education for all" started on Monday. It was attended by the Arab ministers of education and UNESCO's director general.
The Syrian delegation was led by Minister of Education Muhammad Ghassan al-Halabi.
Acting on behalf of the Egyptian president, the minister of education in Egypt, Hussein Kamal Bahaa El-Din, stressed the importance of basic education in consolidating human development plans and exchanging expertise among the Arab states in the education field for better living conditions for the Arab people.
Participants in the one-week conference will discuss the basic needs of education, health and school nutrition in the Arab states.
