Libya supports Djibouti's plan to implement peace in Somalia

Libya stated that it will cooperate with Djibouti to implement a peace plan to end the mess in Somalia, as Djibouti proposed a peace plan that aims to weaken the influence of the Somali warlords and find a compromise amid the competing tribes in Somalia.
The Libyan Foreign Ministry gave its support to Djibouti's plan and asserted its readiness to cooperate with Djibouti to implement this plan.
Libya is considered one of the supporters of Hussein Aideed, a Somali leader who opposes Djibouti's plan. Aideed's troops control southern Mogadishu and other areas in the south as Somalia is still without a government since the late president Mohammed Siad Berri was toppled in 1991.
