US energy secretary to arrive in Cairo on February 7

US Energy Secretary Bill Richardson will arrive in Cairo on February 1 for a working visit to Egypt, during which he will meet with his Egyptian counterpart, Ali Fahmy al-Saedy. The ministers from the two countries met in last July.
Al-Saedy said discussions would include studying a US proposal for contributing to the largest Egyptian project for generating power from solar power stations through presenting technical aid and financial donations and discussing US companies' proposals to participate in Egyptian energy projects.
He said the talks would also cover the donation presented by USAID (the USA Agency for International Development) to the wind ranch in the Zaefarana area.
