Meeting of Arab interior ministers - on coming Saturday in Algeria

Algeria will witness on Saturday the start of five days of meetings of Arab interior ministers udner the chairmanship of Algerian Interior Minister Yazid Zerhouni.

Ahmed Mohammed El-Salem, secretary general of the Arab interior ministers' council, said the Arab interior ministers will discuss the Arab security strategy draft in developed form and the results of the technical committee's works ,which convened in the framework of the Arab League's general trusteeship, as well as developing the Arab security strategy ratified by the Arab interior ministers in 1983 and discussing Arab and international developments.

He said, "The Arab security strategy comprises a group of goals and potentials, as well as programs in the fields of protecting society from crime and development, as well as modernizing fields of criminal policy in addition to the security bodies."
