Coptic association honors Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar

In an indicative gesture, a Coptic association called "The Bells" Call for Information, Culture and Development" selected His Eminence Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Muhammad Sayyed Tantawi to be honored as a symbol of national unity among figures of intellect, culture and national unity. A celebration for this purpose is to be held on Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at the Conferences Hall in Al-Shatbi, under the auspices of Governor of Alexandria, Abdel Salam Mahgoub.
The Association has selected His Eminence Dr. Tantawi to be honored because of his role in deepening national unity principles in all his meetings and interviews.
