Sudan-Eritrea, Politics, 1/22/2000
Eritrea reopened its embassy in Khartoum as Eritrean Foreign Minister Haile Weldensae raised his country's flag over the headquarters of the embassy on Thursday in the attendance of his Sudanese counterpart, Mustafa Othman Ismael.
Othman Ismael said his country is determined to normalize its relations with its neighbor states, assuring that normalizing relations with Asmara will not come at the cost of the relations with Ethiopia.
Weldensae said his country will fully cooperate with Sudan in order to overcome the obstacles confronting bilateral relations.
