Morocco's ambassador presents credentials to South African president
Morocco-South Africa, Politics, 1/22/2000

Morocco's new ambassador in Pretoria, Abdellatif Nacif, presented on Friday his credentials to South African President Thabo Mbeki.

The Moroccan diplomat stressed that Morocco and South Africa, two countries engaged in a process to strengthen their democratic institutions and promote the social and economic well-being of their citizens, share the responsibility of leading their people into the new millennium amid rising expectations and aspirations for a better future.

He said the two African countries also share concern to diversify and boost bilateral economic relations, consolidate unity and solidarity at the regional and sub-regional levels and develop stronger mechanisms of international concertation and cooperation to adapt the UN system, promote more democratic financial institutions and a better participation of the continent in world affairs.
