Moroccan FM in Tunis after Bamako

Minister of foreign affairs and cooperation Mohamed Benaissa arrived Friday in Tunis where he is to hand in a message from King Mohammed VI to president Zine El Abidine Bin Ali.

Benaissa met upon arrival with counterpart Habib Ben Yahya.

On Thursday, Benaissa was received in Bamako by Malian president Alpha Oumare Konare whom he delivered a royal message. Talks centered on bilateral cooperation issues and latest developments on the African scene, mainly in the northwest of the continent.

In the Malian capital, Benaissa also conferred with the speaker of the people's assembly (parliament) and ministers of energy and mining, public works, education, youth and sports, culture and tourism.
