Sudan, UAE sign memorandum of understanding

Sudan and the United Arab Emirates have signed a memorandum of cooperation and coordination in the area of establishing free zones, providing for exchanging information and data, developing natural resources, marketing, exchanging technical consultancy and qualifying national cadres.
On the Sudanese side, the memorandum of understanding was signed by the director general of the Sudanese company for free markets and zones, Muhammad Abbas Muhammad Ahmad, and the UAE director general of Dubai's port Sultan Bin Salim, who is also the chairman of the free zone of Jabal Ali district authority.
The memorandum of understanding links the trade of East Asian states with Africa through commodities arriving at Jabal Ali district and those produced in the region via Sudan.
