Moussa, Albright telephone talks on multilateral

US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has asserted in a telephone call with her Egyptian counterpart, Amr Moussa, the fundamental importance placed by Washington on resuming the multilateral discussions on the Middle East in February in Moscow.
AFP quoted the spokesman for the US State Department, James Rubin, as saying on Friday that Albright told the Egyptian foreign minister of "the importance we pin on resuming the multilateral and our viewpoint which states that every side has a role to play in the talks."
