Saeb Salaam died at 95

Former Lebanese prime Minister Saeb Salam died on Friday morning at 95.
He was eulogized by Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss in a statement, which read: The deceased had spent his life in serving national and pan-Arab issues sincerely. Everybody remembers Saeb Salaam as one key figure of the independence in Lebanon.
Salam was the last living personality of the Lebanese independence movement. He practiced politics along half a century. He was among the first people who signed the first Lebanese independence flag and was the one who launched the motto "One united Lebanon." He presided over the Lebanese government several times.
Salam's funeral will be officially and on the popular level held today after noon prayers.
