African administrative research center meets in Tangier

The administrative board of the Tangier-based African Center for Training and Research in Administration (CAFRAD) holds its 38th session in Tangier this Friday.
The session was preceded by a meeting of the CAFRAD executive committee that examined a range of issues, including the financial situation of the organization.
The executive committee meeting was attended by the civil service ministers of Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Libya, Madagascar, Mali and Nigeria.
At the opening session, Moroccan civil service minister, Aziz El Hussein, called for revamping the organization to enable it fully act as "a forum" and "an instrument of inter-African cooperation," especially through research and training.
El Hussein also touched on the draft African civil service charter to be shortly adopted by African countries saying the charter is meant to create a sound and healthy environment in public administrations.
The charter will be adopted during the third conference of African civil service ministers as decided by previous conferences.
The Moroccan official called African states to adopt comprehensive strategies for struggle against corruption.
