Italian consortium opens in Morocco its first office abroad

An Italian consortium, mustering some 200 small and medium-sized enterprises, opened Thursday in Casablanca its first representation abroad.
Chairman of the "Consorzio Italia Mediterraneo" told MAP Morocco was chosen after feasibility studies in several African countries concluded that the Moroccan market is a rapidly-thriving market. The Moroccan office will give new dynamism to trade relations between Morocco and Italy through a set of partnership and joint venture projects, he said.
Some twenty members of the consortium have started on Thursday exploring business opportunities in Morocco.
Over 100 Italian enterprises are already present in Morocco.
