Jordan-Iraq, Economics, 1/21/2000

A Jordanian delegation under the chairmanship of Trade and Industry Minister Mohammed El-Halabaka is heading today to Baghdad to sign the petroleum agreement between the two states which has been stumbled more than once.

Jordanian sources said that the Jordanian delegation includes officials in the industry, trade and energy sectors, including engineer Ahmed El-Bashir, secretary general of the Ministry Energy and Mineral Resources.

The sources considered it likely that the new minister would reach agreement to renew all items expected for the estimated price per barrel of petroleum.
