Khartoum loses US $1 million every two hours

Sudanese governmental sources said that the Sudanese government loses US $1 million every two hours as a result of an explosion that took place against a Sudanese oil pipeline last Sunday.
The Sudanese sources stated: "We lose US half a million dollars every hour as oil leaks out of the pipeline as a result of the explosion which took place near Sankat city which adjoins the eastern borders with Eritrea."
The damage to the pipeline was due to be repaired on Wednesday to resume oil pumping.
