Chinese deputy foreign minister to arrive in Qatar tomorrow

Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Cini Tin is arriving tomorrow in the Gulf area for a tour he will start in Qatar, proceeding to Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

A Qatari source said that Tin is to arrive in Doha on Friday carrying a message from Chinese President Jiang Zemin to Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani that tackles boosting Chinese - Qatari relations.

Sheikh Hamad visited China recently in an Asian tour.

The Chinese official will also meet with Sultan Qaboos Bin Said of Oman, with whom he will discuss the developments in the Gulf in light of the international resolutions issued against Iraq.

At the conclusion of his visit to the area, the Chinese official will meet with the head of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan, with whom he will discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the Gulf.
