SLA members refuse to join service centers
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 1/20/2000
News reports from the Arqoub district in south Lebanon said that 10 of the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia's members refused to join their military centers while others burnt their military uniforms.
These reports asserted that a militia man, Rafiq Saab, was able to escape from the occupied town of Shabaa to the liberated areas.
However, a state of fear and concern is prevailing in Shabaa city. The citizens fear collective revenge measures against the town that might be taken by the Israeli occupation forces.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance on Wednesday attacked military moves of the Israeli forces and the pro-Israeli militia inside the al-Hardoun and al-Biayadah positions in the western sector of south Lebanon.
In a statement the Lebanese resistance said direct hits were achieved.
