Al-Bashir confers with Afwerki

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Tuesday met with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, thereby officially consolidating the recent rapprochement between their two countries.
The advisor for Eritrea's president, Yaman Geir Maxil, said on Wednesday that talks between the two presidents were very positive, during which several bilateral issues were reviewed.
Sudan and Eritrea announced at the beginning of January the resumption of diplomatic relations, and since then several bilateral meetings were held on top levels in Asmara and Khartoum.
