Sandstorm sweeps away Bedouins' tents in Neguev, water submerges Java houses

Gale-force storms on Tuesday swept away a number of bedouins' tents in the Neguev region and caused damage to houses in seven villages built for these tribes.
Head of the regional council of the Bedouin villages in Neguev Sheikh Attiyah Al-Aasam said the situation was extremely dangerous despite all preventive measures.
Meanwhile, in the Mediterranean coastal cities of Java and Haifa, some houses were submerged with rainwater.
Floods water were 1.5 meters high in some places and sea waves went up to four meters.
The Palestinian Authority has also declared a state of emergency in the Gaza strip and West bank as meteorologists predicted winds as strong as 100 KPH in the region.
In Jordan, Director General of weather forecasts Haitham Al-Shaer said the storm will continue until the end of this week.
