Fassi-Fihri visits European Parliament in Strasbourg

Foreign affairs secretary of state, Taib Fassi-Fihri, met in Strasbourg Tuesday the president of the European Parliament, Mrs Nicole Fontaine, who undertakes shortly an official visit to Morocco.
Fassi-Fihri also discussed bilateral cooperation issues prior to the coming into force of the association agreement passed Feb. 1996 with Mrs Loyola De Palacio, the European Commission's vice-chairwoman, the commissioner in charge of external relations Christopher Patten and Javier Solana, high representative for foreign policy and common security and secretary general of the European Union Council.
In Brussels, the secretary of state had met the commissioner in charge of agriculture, rural development and maritime fisheries, M. Franz Fischler.
