Arab satellite for mobile phone service

Mohammed Hasan Emran head of board of directors of the Thoraya company for Emirate satellite communications said the first Arab satellite for communications that is completely owned by the Arab private sector will be released in middle of the current year.
Emran said in a press conference held yesterday on margin of the fourth Cairo International Fair for Communications and Data Technology that it was agreed upon with an Egyptian company to commence running the mobile phone service through the satellite in Egypt in September, adding that the satellite will cover all countries of Middle East and Europe.
