83 million dinars in loans for Tunisian youths

The Tunisian bank for solidarity said that it has presented during the last two years more than 22,000 loans totaling 83 million dinars for poor families and to small as well as the medium-sized projects aimed at tackling the unemployment crisis. A statement issued by the bank said these loans came according to the instructions of President Zine al-Abidin Ben Ali to hasten lending to the affiliated categories
The average of the monthly consent on loans was doubled to reach 1,200 loans per month and reached 14,796 loans in 1999.
