Iranian, Saudi economic committee meets in Tehran

The first round of the meetings of the second session of the joint Iranian- Saudi economic committee convened on Monday evening. It was chaired by Iranian Minister of Commerce Muhammad Shareyat Madari and Saudi Minister of Commerce Osama Jaafar al-Faqih.
The two sides discussed means of strengthening relations and expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in the economic domain, as well as increasing trade exchange between the two countries.
The two sides dealt with joint investment matters in the areas of petrochemicals, medicine, railways and the problem of entry visas.
The two sides also recommended setting up economic, scientific, industrial, and cultural committees as well as committees of concern to transport, communications and commerce.
