UNDP, Moroccan NGOs sign financing and partnership agreements

The UN Development Program and four Moroccan non-governmental organizations signed on Monday a package of financing and partnership agreements for environment protection.
Four projects, whose total cost is worth $389,262, will thus receive $159,387 in financial support from the UNDP.
Recipient associations are the green oasis association for environment preservation which will carry out a project for alternative energy in a southern Moroccan city (Goulmim), the Ait Guettou development and culture association for a project to safeguard bees in the same region, the association for the development of the Draa Valley to protect the Mhamid oasis (southern Morocco) and the association of thuya friends for a project to protect thuya forests against over-exploitation in handicraft activities.
The UNDP resident in Morocco called the recipient associations to see to the good management of funds.
