Under the accord, France will extend Morocco technical assistance in the fields of employment, the consolidation of assessment means, the modernization of work management and the promotion of vocational training, especially through via-satellite remote training that will be launched during the first six months of the current year.
The accord was initialed by Moroccan Minister of Employment Khalid Alioua and French Minister of Employment and Solidarity Martine Aubry, who started on Monday a three-day working visit to the kingdom.
The two officials said at a press briefing after the signing that the accord also seeks to promote partnership programs for the local development of employment as those initiated in Safi (on the Atlantic coast south to Casablanca) and Khouribga (center) and that are targeting the creation of enterprises.
Aubry said the program for the year 2000 provides for nearly 31 projects involving some 300 Moroccan and French experts. France will also assist Morocco in reforming the social security sector, she said.

Aubry will be meeting Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi, Cabinet members and heads of enterprises.
