European Union delegation discusses peace process developments with Mubarak

A delegation from the European Union arrived in Cairo today for a two-day visit to Egypt, during which Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will receive them to discuss peace process developments and the European role in pushing the process forward.
The delegation will also discuss with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa cooperation ties in the Mediterranean framework.
Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama, who heads the current session of the European Union, heads the European delegation coming from Damascus.
The delegation includes Javier Solana, secretary general of the European Union council, and Miguel Moratinos, the European envoy for the Arab - Israeli peace process.
