Moussa meets with Abed Rabbo

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa met yesterday with Palestinian Minister of Culture and Information Yasser Abed Rabbo, chairman of the Palestinian delegation to final status negotiations, who said after the meeting that Palestinian President Yasser Arafat will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak before Arafat travels to Washington to meet US President Bill Clinton on January 29.
In answering questions from Egyptian journalists, Abed Rabbo said President Arafat's visit to Washington will have a great impact on the peace process in this period, saying that his talks with Moussa tackled all matters concerning the final status negotiations on the Palestinian - Israeli track, obstacles obstructing these negotiations and how to push these negotiations forward.
He added that the meeting also tackled the role which Egypt keeps performing to achieve progress in these negotiations and give success to the meeting between Arafat and Clinton, as well as the other meetings in Washington.
Abed Rabbo added that all this aims at achieving what was agreed upon in Sharm El-Sheik and reaching a Palestinian - Israeli agreement on February 15.
