Vedrine leaves Cairo

French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine left Cairo today after meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
Vedrine also met during his visit to Cairo with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa as they discussed means of developing bilateral relations and the developments in establishing peace in the Middle East.
Vedrine depicted the visit as coming in the framework of French - Egyptian consultations, as he said he is optimistic concerning the peace process' progress on the different Arab tracks despite the obstacles that face such progress.
He said that France thinks it is brave to commit to peace, and France does not underestimate the difficulty of the task.
