Results of investigations into Al Kosheh acts of violence

Egypt asserted that full and transparent investigations regarding the recent isolated conflict in a village in Suhag governorate where several individuals were killed and injured.

Following his meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, in the presence of Minister of Justice Farouk Seif al-Naser and Minister of the Interior Habib al-Adli, Egyptian Information Minister Safwat al-Sharif said that the attorney general's department will complete judicial investigations concerning sectarian acts of violence that took place at the beginning of this month in al-Kosheh village, Upper Egypt, within weeks.

The Egyptian minister quoted Mubarak as asserting the importance of security presence in the region as well as the complete transparency and neutrality of the investigators and the importance of declaring the real conditions as soon as investigations are completed.
