Syrian FM reviews developments with Lebanese, Turkish FMs

A telephone call was made on Monday between Lebanese Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Salim al-Hoss and Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa.

Talks during the telephone conversation dealt with the Middle East peace negotiations in light of the telephone call between Syrian President Hafez al-Assad and US President Bill Clinton, as well as the telephone call between al-Sharaa and US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

Views were identical between al-Hoss and al-Sharaa concerning all issues debated in the telephone call.

Later in the day, al-Sharaa received a telephone call from Turkish Foreign Minister Ismael Cem. The conversation between the two foreign ministers dealt with Middle East peace process and ways of strengthening bilateral relations in different areas.
