European Union Middle East peace envoy confers with Israeli FM
Syria-Israel, Politics, 1/18/2000

Israeli Radio quoted the European Union's Middle East peace process coordinator, Miguel Angel Moratinos, as saying during his meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy in Israel on Monday that Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa told him on Sunday that Syria has not decided yet whether it will delegate its representatives to take part in the third round of peace negotiations with Israel that are set to start on Wednesday in the US Shepherdstown.

For his part Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy said Israel did not receive any information on postponing the round of negotiations and that there is no change for his travel together with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to the US in order to take part in this round.
