Egypt participates in G-15 meetings

Egypt is due to participate in first meeting held by the Group of 15 developing countries in Geneva on January 19 after the failure of the World Trade Organization conference in Seattle, USA at the end of last year.

Mounir Zahran, the personal representative of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in G-15 will head Egypt's delegation.

Ambassador Zahran said this meeting will discuss the trends in the developing countries that are members of the group toward international trade in the coming stage. He added that the meeting will also discuss the special preparations in participation in the 10th conference of UNCTAD (the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development), which will be held in Bangkok in February as well as the special arrangements of the 10th summit of the G-15, scheduled to be held in Cairo on June 19 and 20 under the chairmanship of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
