Saudi Arabia, Japan for industrial cooperation

Saudi Minister of Industry and Electricity Hashem Yamani met on Saturday in Riyadh with Japanese Minister of International Trade and Industry Takashi Fokaya, currently visiting Saudi Arabia.

The two sides discussed means of increasing bilateral cooperation. The Japanese side urged increasing investments in Saudi industrial projects, participation in infrastructure projects for mineral industries and verifying them in order to benefit from the investment atmosphere in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in the day, Saudi Minister of Industry Khaled al-Quseibi, the chairman of the Saudi side in the Saudi-Japanese joint committee, held a meeting with the Japanese minister who arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

The two sides discussed cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Japan in economic, trade and technical fields and means of developing them for joint interests.
