Solanas hold talks in Damascus with FM al-Sharaa

Talks started on Sunday evening in Damascus between Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa and a European Union delegation led by Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama and Javier Solana, secretary general of the council of the European Union, the higher representatives for common foreign and security policy.
The two sides reviewed the latest developments in the peace process in light of the recent peace talks held in Shepherdstown. Syrian - EU relations were also discussed.
