Report: Sheikh Saad al-Sabah to assign Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed wide powers

The Kuwaiti newspaper El-Seyasa said today that Kuwaiti Prime Minsiter Crown Prince Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah Salem al-Sabah is expected to assign Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed, the first deputy prime minister and foreign minister, wide powers.
These powers are to include dealing with the Ummah council concerning the business council and the joint committees, heading some councils and supreme committees, and following up on implementing a program for economic, financial and administrative reform in the country.
A high-ranking source told the newspaper that Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah will head the first meeting of the Cabinet on January 23 after coming back on January 18 from London.
