Over 65% of Moroccan babies are breast fed
Morocco, Health, 1/15/2000
More than 65% of Moroccan babies aged less than 24 months are breast fed, says the Moroccan statistics department.
However, the rate is different between rural and urban areas: More than 3 children out of four in rural areas while hardly more than one out of two babies in cities are breast fed.
Nationwide, 93.7% of babies aged below 4 months are breast fed, and the rate goes down to 19.2% when babies reach 2 years.
Children who were never breast fed represent 6.2% nationwide.
