Morocco sends technicians to help restore electricity to storm-struck French regions

Morocco has sent 25 technicians to France to help restore electricity in the regions struck by storms at the end of December. A group of 25 technicians from the Casablanca utility company "Lydec" have been in France since last December 31 and have been helping in restoring low and middle voltage electricity lines in southwestern France. French President Jacques Chirac has sent King Mohammed VI a message of thanks for the Moroccan assistance and solidarity.
According to the French daily "Le Monde," a large solidarity movement came from several countries following the storm that hit several French regions. Help came from other countries which sent technicians, equipment, the daily said.
