Relief workers killed in Sudan
Sudan, Politics, 1/15/2000

A Norwegian relief worker announced on Friday that eight relief workers were killed in southern Sudan when rebels from Uganda set fire to their car.

Reuters quoted the Norwegian Church Aid group as saying that there were 11 persons in the car and that seven of them were killed immediately, and another died on Friday morning.

All persons who were killed in the attack that took place on Thursday morning near Barajouk, which is close to the Ugandan borders, had collaborated in helping the refugees and the displaced from southern Sudan.
