Levy confers with Moroccan king

The Israeli foreign minister David Levy on Friday in Tamara city, al-Rabat held a press conference in which he announced that he briefed the Moroccan King Muhammad 6th with the results of the Syrian-Israeli talks.
Levy added that he had discussed with the Moroccan King with the possibility of raising diplomatic representation, opening an air line between al-Rabat and Tel Aviv and setting up a committee to discuss bilateral relations between Morocco and Israel.
Levy on Wednesday started an official visit to Morocco during which he met with the Moroccan King and his prime minister Abdul Rahman Youssoufi and held talks with Moroccan officials especially with the advisor of the Jordanian King for economic and financial affairs.
Meanwhile, MAP reported that Levy, a Moroccan-born Jew, expressed gratitude to "the king who invited me to my home country. I saw my friends, the city where I grew up and met Moroccans," he said.
He also met the king's advisor, Andre Azoulay, over the situation of associations representing the Moroccan-born Jewish community and their participation in Morocco's development efforts.
On Friday, Levy met at the Beth-el temple in Casablanca with delegates of the Moroccan Jewish community which held a special religious service at the memory of the late King Hassan II of Morocco.
